Snow continues to fall at Thredbo

Australia’s premier snow resort, Thredbo, has received new snowfall this morning, following the year’s first snowfall earlier this week. Preparing itself for an exciting winter, the conditions in Thredbo today saw a light dusting of snow all the way to the village.

With the countdown to winter well and truly on, first-time visitors and Thredbo regulars should brace themselves for an exciting season ahead. On the 7th June, Thredbo will open for the 2014 snow season, with a range of activities and experiences catering for first-timers as well as skilled skiers and snowboarders.

The 2014 winter season will see a number of new features and products added to Thredbo’s already impressive offering. Some of these include:

  • A brand new snow play area for tobogganing and tubing, perfect for those who are keen to experience the pure magic of snow.
  • An increase in the age for Kids Pricing. Now everyone 17 and under can access the discounted children’s rates, representing a great advantage for families with teenagers.
  • An all new terrain park, developed by Thredbo’s new terrain park manager.

The revamped terrain park is one of the largest of its kind in Australia, featuring a new range of challenges for visitors of all different skill sets, while the all new snow play area provides the perfect place for families to enjoy the best of winter off the mountain. Add to this Australia’s 5 longest runs and terrain to suit all skill levels, and it’s easy to see why Thredbo is the perfect destination this winter.

To celebrate the season’s first snowfall, for a limited time, Thredbo is offering 25 per cent off ski and stay packages. Packages include accommodation, lift passes, daily breakfast, and twin share accommodation. Conditions apply.
