Bangladesh Australian Welfare Society (BAWS) is going to host the Bangla Lokomela [annual Bengali folk festival] this year on Saturday the 22nd of March 2014 at Seddon Park, Glenfield, NSW.
The day-long festival will attract not only the residents from Campbelltown but many from the greater Sydney metropolis, Canberra and New Castle. While the festival is aimed towards the Bangladeshi migrant community and their descendants, there will also be residents of the locality who represents different culture and ethnicity attending the event.
The attractions of the day will include a range of amusement venues for children of all ages, there will be stalls serving traditional Bangladeshi and Indian culinary, general merchandise of all sorts throughout the day and finally there will be a rich and colourful cultural show which will be displayed by the participation of local artists to entertain the audience who will be attending the event.
This will be one of the opportunity where your presence will put a footprint to promote the spirit of multiculturalism.
